BIO
Italian and Dutch, Gaia was born and raised in a small village by a lake in Italy but with time became a true global citizen.
Since 15 years, she lives and works across the world - from Africa to the Middle East, from the United States to Europe -, leading non-profit organisations, foundations and policy processes, tackling the most pressing challenges of our time. Gaia is currently the Managing Director of 3ZERO - a foundation working across 40+ countries to build a world with zero exclusion, zero carbon and zero poverty. She previously served as the Sherpa for G20 EMPOWER, leading the G20 agenda on gender equality. Gaia is an Advisor / Board Member for numerous organizations.
Gaia is a writer, speaker and advocate for the topics that drive her: equity, sustainability, leadership, geopolitics. She is the author of Amazon Bestseller “Leading Our Way” (Wiley, ‘23) and of “Volti d’Italia” (Il Saggiatore, ‘21), and her work and her articles have been featured in Forbes, VanityFair, Corriere Della Sera, L’Espresso, Harvard Kennedy Review and others. She is a speaker at international events, including the G20, COP28, ChangeNow Summit, 3ZERO World Summit, WebSummit, Forbes 30u30 Summit, Harvard Women in Power Conference.
Thanks to her impact, Gaia has been recognised as one of Europe’s Forbes 30under30, as a 2024 Rising Talent by the Women’s Forum, and as Supernova of the Year by Nova. She holds two master's degrees from Harvard Kennedy School and Sciences Po Paris.
